The Department of Mechanical Engineering from the day of its inception, has been taking long strides in the field of science and Engineering.
One of the oldest and active departments anticipating the rapid developments in technology and software provides the most sophisticated laboratory facilities & excellent infra structure. The department has well qualified dedicated enthusiastic Teaching & technical staff .
Department of Electrical Engineering is committed “to produce competent Engineer/ Entrepreneur and best Citizen by acquiring knowledge, skills and attitudes in the field of Electrical engineering” The increasing demand of Electrical power requires Electrical engineers who are most capable of handling installation, maintenance, operation of power equipments and systems.
Electrical Industries that manufacture electrical machines and equipments also need engineers for design, production and testing.
Civil engineering primarily covers activities of engineering discipline from planning, designing and construction of buildings to develop of water supplying structures.
Besides designing, planning or construction of buildings, some other major application fields of civil engineering industry are management of residential and commercial buildings, transportation system, fields regarding water supplying activities, and environmental fields.
The Electronics and Telecommunication Department of NIT polytechnic was established in 2009 and has well equipped laboratories with sophisticated equipments. The department has got a fleet of qualified and experienced faculty members to nurture students very carefully to excel as in curricular as well as in extracurricular activities.
The Department is running successfully with full intake of 60 students in Electronics and Telecommunication.
Today Computer Technology has become pervasive, while its parent, Computing Science, has become hard to find. Instead of becoming specialty providers for the IT industry or mass producers of vocationally trained personnel, our Department has chosen to take the road less traveled.
We continue to emphasize the pristine science that lies under the diverse aspects of computing. This is the single most important feature of the education offered here.
