The Department of Electrical Engineering at NIT Polytechnic, Nagpur, is committed to producing highly skilled professionals who are industry-ready and equipped with strong ethical values. Established in 2011 (First Shift) and 2012 (Second Shift), the department has consistently focused on academic excellence and practical learning. With an intake capacity of 120 students, we provide a dynamic environment where students can develop technical expertise and leadership qualities.
Our program is approved by AICTE, DTE, and the Maharashtra Government, and affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai. The department boasts modern laboratories, a structured academic framework, and a faculty team comprising experienced educators and industry experts.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
PEO 1. Provide socially responsible, environment friendly solutions to electrical engineering related broad-based problems adapting professional ethics.
PEO 2. Adopt state-of-the-art electrical engineering broad-based technologies to work in multi-disciplinary work environments.
PEO 3. Solve broad-based problems individually and as a team member communicating effectively in the world of work.

It places strong emphasis on fundamentals to introduce the students to complex real life problems, arising out of recent advancement and technological innovations in diverse areas. .Student after passing out may join Public sector, Defence, Private sector like MAHAGENCO, DISCOM, BHEL, ONGC, POWERGRID, NTPC,NHPC, Mahindra, HITACHI, TAL Manufacturing, CEAT Tyres, Kinetic Gears, BOSCH, L&T, Maruti Udyog, ESSAR etc. The students also have enough scope to start their own enterprise in providing service & manufacturing facilities as well.
