Eligibility criteria in
NIT Polytechnic
Admission for First Semester (First Year)
The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (10th standard) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks in aggregate for all reserved and open categories with subjects General Science / Physics & Chemistry, Mathematics / Algebra & Geometry and English.
Admission for THIRD Semester (SECOND Year)
The candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSSC(12th standard) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks in aggregate for all reserved and open categories with subjects Science / MCVC /ITI(2 YEARS COURSE)

Documents Required with Application
(For Admission to First Semester / Third semester)
- Original and a copy of statement of SSC marks.
- Original and a copy of School Leaving Certificate of the institute last attended.
- Original and a copy of statement of HSC marks.(if available)
- Original and a copy of Caste Certificate for Backward Class Candidate
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, only VJ, DT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC ,SBC and category.
- Original Copy of Domicile Certificate
- True Copy of Addhar Card
Documents Retention Policy
All the original documents will be verified by the DTE and if found satisfactory. Then the admission will be confirmed after confirmation of admission ( documents verification by DTE) , the leaving certificate will be retain by the institute and other documents will be given back.
Admission Process
The candidate should submit their application in the prescribed form dully completed and attached with certificates to the Principal, NIT Polytechnic, survey no 13/2, Mahurzari, Katol Road, Nagpur on or before the last date notified in due course. (OR)
The candidates should submit their application forms through Online Centralized Admission Process on or before the day informed by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) to benefits Freeship / Scholarship from Social Welfare department as per rules laid down by Government of Maharashtra.
Centralized Allotment Procedure
•80% Seats Are Filled Through CAP (Centralized Admission Process) Conducted by DTE. The Candidate Has to Apply at the ARC Center.
•20% Seats Are Reserved for Institutional Quota Admission. The Candidate Has to Apply to the College Only.
• Students Seeking Admission for Direct Third Semester or Second Year Must Submit Their Application Form to the DTE-Designated ARC.
Note: 10% Over & Above the Sanctioned Intake Will Be Provided for Direct Second-Year Admission, Along With Any Vacant Seats From the First Year.
Fee Structure
The fee structure for Diploma in engineering courses is decided by fees Fixation Committee, Government of Maharashtra. The fee structure is subject to revision by the fees Fixation Committee, Government of Maharashtra.
- For Current Academic Year Fees is Rs. 60033/-
- For SC/ST Category Candidates: Nil (Subjected to Sanction of Scholarship)
- For VJ/NT/DT/SBC Category Candidates and Female Candidates: Rs. 6432/- (Subjected to Sanction of Scholarship)
- For OBC Category Male Candidates: Rs. 33233/- (Subjected to Sanction of Scholarship)
